Jinna sponsors “A Safe Night”
In partnership with Weed & Seed, St. Louis Philanthropic Organization, and the Missouri Department of Mental Health Jinna sponsored “Safe Night “for youth and their parents.
Delinquent behaviors such as gang activity, drug use, and alcohol use are plaguing the inner city youth of St. Louis. In recent efforts to combat these and other negative behaviors, Jinna Community Outreach Partnership (JCORP) has hosted several Safe Nights for youth and their parents. Safe night is an over night event design to provide a safe, structured environment where young people can learn about issues affecting their communities and participate in constructive activities. This Event has been attended by youth (aged 13-18) from all over the city and even the country. The most recent Safe Night occurred December 27, 2008 at the Monsanto YMCA, located at 5555 Page.
